The land of smiles: Thailand

In December 2025, I went to Thailand for 10 days and this is how my trip went by!

Bangkok

We went through security and went into a Boeing 787-9 and we arrived in Bangkok. We went in a car to go to the hotel and we arrived at the Four Points hotel in Sukhumvit. We went outside to exchange money and after that we went to the night market. I ate quail eggs there. And I saw a crocodile being grilled and I saw octopuses as well.

First full day in Bangkok

The next day, I ate eggs for breakfast. And then we went to Terminal 21 and bought bubble tea. We also bought some bath bombs. And I went in the bath when I got back to the hotel. In the evening, we took the BTS skytrain BTS and went to CentralWorld.

Grand Palace

I went on a boat to go to the Grand Palace and when we arrived, it was scorching hot! I was lucky I brought hats and fans. We hired a guide to help us with the visit. She showed us the different statues and their meanings. She also took many photos of us there. Afterwards, we went to the boat to go to Iconsiam. I ate strawberries with chocolate there. And then we ordered a Grab to go to the hotel. In the afternoon, I went for a swim in the rooftop pool.

Pattaya

The next day, we went to Holiday Inn for 2 days in Pattaya. We got seafood at the night market and walked back to our hotel. The next day, I went to the pool for a swim. We then went to Terminal 21 to get my first sunglasses and after that, we went to the beach. And my mom went to the spa. The next day, we had to return back to Bangkok. I wish we could have stayed here for two more nights!

Final days in Thailand

In Bangkok, we stayed at Radisson BLU. For the next days, my mom ate Thai food and I ate McDonald’s, Burger King and KFC. We also went shopping and took the BTS skytrain. One day after, we went to the MBK centre, we took the tuktuk to get to the hotel and it was so much fun!

Cloud 9

The trip came to an end. We went to the airport to go home. I travelled in business class (Cloud 9) with Ethiopian Airlines for the first time. We arrived in Addis Ababa and we went to the lounge for 4 hours. Then we boarded the plane again. We landed in Niamey and we stayed in the plane for 1 hour. And after that, we had taken off and 1 hour later, we finally arrived home in Burkina Faso.

Next time I am coming back here again!
